08.11.2015, Centre for Education and Development (CED) in collaboration with the UNDP Skopje and the State University of Tetovo (SUT) on 03.12.2015 organized debate within the campaign of the European Union and the United Nations "Orange the World": The campaign will include a series of activities designed to "Color the world in orange: Put an end to violence against women and girls" including lighting Stone Bridge in Skopje in orange light, forming a large orange ribbon of the present people, people from different walks of life will nose orange to express their support and also a series of debates with students across the country. The orange color was chosen to symbolize a brighter future without violence against women.The debate was held in the amphitheater of the German language and literature at the State University in Tetovo (SUT). Center for education and development - CED in partnership with coalition SEGA, and with big support of Children foundation Pestalozzi Switzerland together with the students of primary school from Tetovo region, through some activities with mark the week of children’s. The idea of this project starts in august 2015 was organized summer camp in Struga with topic “Children rights” and “intercultural corporation” with participating of children with age from 14-16 from some cities from Macedonia. The team from Tetovo plans to realize 4 activities in 4 working days from 05-09 October 2015.
Within this week will be the separating of the leaflets and reading of the Declaration for the Children Rights in front of a lot of students, Parents and Teachers of the Region. The second day its planned “Exhibit and Flashmob” description of the Children rights via pictures.
Henrike Benjes is the fourth volunteer, which for a one year will be engaged in organization Center for Education and Development CED. It is sent by the organization Friedenskreis Halle (Germany), which is a partner organization of the CED, and comes from the city of Bremen, Germany. Her previous experience is participation and leadership, groups and workshops with children camps and schools in Germany, as well as experience for mediation, conflict resolution among young people in schools. This cooperation with Germany began in 2011, and is aimed exchanging positive experiences of German youth and their contribution to the organization and the wider society in Macedonia.
6 years in a row held the event “Beans Day 2015”. This topic of this event is to raise the awareness of the population for the validity of the Bean culture, and to gain the economical benefits, through raising the selling and production. Also the main topic is promoting distinctive marking in this region.
Brand made various efforts for the known Bean of Tetova. Like every year the event it’s organized from NGO CED, but this year like supporters was Macedonian ecological society, and support from the municipality of Tearce. The Program was rich with different activities, in which the visitors had the possibility to enjoy and spend a great Saturday in Tearce.ÂÂ
It started with three cultural events from different NGOs from Tearce, in which they were presented with traditional songs and traditional dance from the Macedonian, Albanian and Turkish culture.
On 26.09.2015 in Tetovo in front of the Cultural house was promoted the platform of associations in the Tetovo’s region “Friends of Sharri” which is open type and can join all natural and legal persons who would like Sharr Mountain to be declared as a protected area. “Friends of Sharr” is an informal group of civic organizations of Tetovo, who want te see Sharr mountain in the future as a national park.
The founding organizations of this platform are: “Community Development Institute: from Tetovo, Hiking club “Ljuboten” from Tetovo and “Center for Education and Development” from Tearce. Our vision is that the nature of Sharr to be protected and variegated in harmony with people. Shara declaration of protected areas, sustainable exploitation of natural resources, protection of traditional values.
24.08.2015, Another successful Summer Children Camp was held in Pestalozzi Children's Village in Trogen, Switzerland from 29.07.2015 until 12.08 2015. 160 children from Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine and Moldova were part of this summer camp, including 40 children aged 16-17 from Macedonia led by NGOs such as Center for education and Development-CED as coordinator of the camp, SPPMD Kavadarci, MAJKA - Kumanovo, Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA and children from the region of Strumica with their supervisors.
Within fifteen days camp participants had 10 working days in which were involved in the workshops that were held in the school in the village.
